Hoda
Learn Shia Islam from the beginning
Whether you are a new Muslim, exploring the path of the Ahl al-Bayt, or filling gaps you never had time to fill, Hoda starts at the start: short lessons for adults, with the Qur'an and hadith quoted and their sources named.
Where you start
- Belief: Allah, His oneness and His justice
- Prophethood and the twelve Imams
- The Qur'an, with authentic recitations
- How to pray and the basics of worship
- Living as a Muslim among others
Learn at your own pace
A lesson takes a few minutes. Spaced practice brings back what you learned just before you would forget it, so it stays. Nobody sees your answers or your progress but you.
Questions
- I am a revert. Is this for me?
- Yes. Hoda does not assume you grew up with any of it. Lessons for adults explain each idea from the beginning.
- Where does the content come from?
- Qur'an verses and hadith are quoted from established sources and each one names its source. Each lesson card shows whether a fluent reviewer has checked its text in your language.
- Is Hoda really free?
- Yes. Every lesson is free, there are no ads, and you can start without an account. Hoda is kept going by voluntary gifts.
- Do I need to sign up?
- No. You can start straight away on this device. A free account is only needed to keep progress safe and use it on other devices.
