Hoda
A Shia madrasah curriculum, at home
No madrasah nearby, or want practice between weekend classes? Hoda follows a structured path through the subjects a Shia madrasah teaches, in short daily lessons a child can do at home.
The subjects
- Aqa'id — beliefs
- Qur'an
- Fiqh — worship and daily rulings
- Tarikh — the Prophet and the Ahl al-Bayt
- Akhlaq — character
For parents and teachers
Lessons follow an ordered path, and each has clear objectives. Teachers are welcome to suggest Hoda as homework practice: it costs families nothing and needs no sign-up.
Questions
- Does Hoda replace a madrasah?
- No. A teacher and a community cannot be replaced. Hoda is daily practice that supports what a child learns in class — or a starting point where there is no class.
- Is Hoda really free?
- Yes. Every lesson is free, there are no ads, and you can start without an account. Hoda is kept going by voluntary gifts.
- Which languages does Hoda speak?
- The app is available in 15 languages, including English, Arabic, Persian, Urdu and German. Lessons are written natively in each language as they are released, not machine-translated from English.
